To commemorate a very uneventful 2020 outside of the confines of a national lockdown, My joke for this year is that instead of turning 24 years old, it's just 23 Pt. II .
In Accompaniment to In The Mix 2020, I also created a visualiser for the full 90 minute mix. The audio is recorded directly from the Cassette tape that the mix was recorded onto using my MOTU M4 Interface, with the visuals ran through Adobe Premiere Pro - my editing suite of choice.
A sort of spot-it-or-miss-it sort of deal, I shot this video to transition between side A and Side B of the mixtape visual.
In an effort to link my Personal logo created in 2018 with my personal Hanko seal that I created for my life in Japan, I created a montage of my 6 month residency in Japan, overlaid onto the graphic.
In the middle of the first National Lockdown in the United Kingdom, I created a video to serve as a proof-of-concept for a Narrative-heavy video game, Long Way Home. Though no production commenced, it is an idea that I would love to revisit one day.
As part of my submission for the Subfero Creative Competion, I also produced a visual for the mixtape in the style of an old TV infomercial. the graphic also contains parodies of popular payment methods, which I have re-purposed to convey work-related jargon that was part of our daily responsibilities working on behalf of Microsoft.
I partook in a music challenge with the aim of sharing my taste in music. I used the challenge to also get to grips with using Final Cut Pro. In which, I created a template from scratch, swapping music, album covers, and other supporting assets for each day, and also made use of effects where possible to add to the aesthetic of the music being presented.
This video is a world-building project for a fictional game labelled 'Frequency'. The high-level concept was to focus on voyeurism in an early 90's New York City, weaving around the hustle-and-bustle of the streets gathering intelligence using contemporary technology.
